New Javascript Accelerators (2 of 2): Execute Query
Yesterday we released the first part of this post, where we showed one of our latest Javascript Accelerators, the “Get Entity” (see post here).
As promised we’re back today with the second part of the post where we’ll demonstrate the power of the new “Execute Query” Javascript Accelerator.
"Execute Query" Accelerator
As the name implies, this accelerator is designed to easily allow you to execute a query within a User Interface behaviour, without the need to write code.
This feature is particularly useful when you develop custom queries and want to easily get their results to display in the application’s user interface.
In today’s example we’re going to demonstrate how we can execute a custom query using the accelerator, edit the generated code to fit your needs and display the query’s result in the User Interface.
Note: the “LastPurchasePriceBySupplier” query, used in the video, checks the lowest price a product was bought and displays that value in the “Unit Price” field when a new order is being placed.
This new feature is part of our 3.1.70 version of the platform.
